Transmedia

Transmedia story telling is a technique used to tell a story or a narrative through the use of multiple platforms, such as television, books, games and websites online. Transmedia is important in the world of teachers as it gives them an effective and interesting way to use a digital device and present an interesting topic using this device. The use of these different Transmedia can be used throughout teaching to ensure that children are listening and learning in a interesting way. It also helps with them learning to be digitally fluent which is of high importance to young children.

Prezi is and important representation of this as it is an effective way of story telling. Through the use of visually appealing effects and easy to use system it is a very simple yet very effective way to tell some sort of story. It can be used as an  highly educational website and can intrigue the young students with its effects such as zooming in and out of slides.

Our weekly task included us using the website Prezi and using it to highlight your learning journey. It is presented as a timeline and when clicked it zooms into the slide so what has been written can be seen. It can also be edited as well as different slides can be introduced if you would want to add on to it. Below I will add an example of a Prezi which can be used in a classroom .The Prezi is about my learning journey and can be possibly used in class as an introduction.
